Look, ma! No hands tablet! Real paper and real pens! Aren’t you proud of me.
I posted about this before, but I’ll say it again: my headcanon for ACD!Holmes is that “Sherlock Holmes” never existed; he was, in fact, the male alterego of one Miss Irene Adler, created so that she could pursue a profession as a consulting detective without being laughed at. Same goes for lady Watson (who may turn out to be Mary Morstan but then I’d have to tie in Mary’s backstory and eugghhh): she was a battlefield nurse who was leagues above her male superiors in bravery and medical prowess; she got shot during a heroic attempt to save a soldier’s life and was duly sent home with express orders to get married and forget that she deserved a medal for her wartime feats.
Together, they fight crime and misogyny.
